Cabo Verde Hotel - Mati

This hotel is nice, and has everything I need, free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and an outdoor swimming pool. The staff once helped me with a great local delivery recommendation. I'm coming back for Christmas!

The location is ideal for getting into Athens while being at the seaside if one has a car to get to the metro station. The hotel staff are very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

There was the generous and extensive breakfast and we truly enjoyed the location as well.

The hotel was set in a remote area next to Close to the airport, the surrounding areas and the restaurants which where close by. It had lots of meals for breakfast, including croissants, yoghourt, fruit and scrambled eggs.

Spending a night here was a great choice after a long day of exploring the nearby beaches. The pool area was relaxing, and I enjoyed sipping delicious cocktails while taking in the views of the coast. The breakfast offered some good options, but I was hoping for a bit more variety. The air conditioning in my room worked well.

Staff were really great - we found pillow hard but they found some soft ones for us.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cabo Verde in Mati. The staff were warm and cute. Checking in was easy, and they arranged our airport transfers without a hitch. I appreciated the oceanfront view from my balcony. The pool area was inviting, offering fine views and a relaxing atmosphere. Meals at the hotel were notably good, with the gyros and Greek salads being standout dishes, reasonably priced too. The breakfast selection could use some improvement. It felt repetitive with limited fruit options. There were no shaded loungers around the pool area. Despite these minor drawbacks, the atmosphere was generally relaxed, and I would happily return.

The staff is very friendly. Due to a taxi strike the helped is getting to the hotell. Nice (but small) pool and the beach is just about 30 m away.

Opt for room 228. It offers lovely sea views and ample natural light.

The small town of Mati provides a beautiful seaside location without crowds of tourists. The neighborhood consists of nicely landscaped homes on large lots, peace and quiet. The hotel staff treated us like long lost family and appeared to be genuinely happy to see us each time we entered the lobby. The rooms were clean and comfortable with small but attractive balconies looking out to the sea. My 20 something son and his girlfriend delighted in the pool area and bar. While non-hotel guests have memberships, they were mostly attractive young Greeks with only a few, well behaved children. The music was contemporary, played at a decent decible level and appealing to most ages. We were pleased to return from dinner on a Friday night to find a talented, young jazz vocalist performing outside, a lovely excuse for a nightcap. We did not try the hotel's Italian restaurant due to lack of atmosphere but found a delightful taverna in a garden just up the small street opposite. There are a few other places to eat within walking distance. Since Mati is a 30 minute drive to the airport, a car is required. This was an appealing spot for a two night layover prior to flying home.

The whole hotel looks new, nicely cared and arranged. Swimming pool, good breakfast buffet near the pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The location was not "that good". The village is nothing special, not a large village, not a country-side, just a vacation area. Not many attractive restaurants to eat at night in this area (it was early June), one better goes to Rafina to dine (as we did).
